“Usagi” means rabbit, and “Ningen” means human. The combination results in “Usaginingen”: an artists’ duo consisting of Shinichi HIRAI on the music instrument “Shibaki” and Emi HIRAI on the visual machine “Ta­Co”. In their performance, complex images and sounds are interwoven into a unique audio­visual experience, carrying the audience to the borders of dream and reality. Recently, the two outstanding artists received a “Live Cinema” award at the Reykjavik Visual Music Punto y Raya Festival.
